Suction strainers – general information

Suction strainer is a suction filter (rose box strainer) mounted at the end of a suction hose. Suction strainers prevent dirt from entering the hose and the system, protecting suction pumps from damage. Used with hoses for drawing water, sludge, sewage, emptying septic tanks or other tanks. Formed into different shapes (cylindrical, conical) and versions (with round or rectangular holes), made of zinc-plated steel sheet, AISI 304 or AISI 316 stainless steel. Connections with BSP or NPT female thread or with a fitting to attach directly to the hose. Sizes from 1.1/2″ (DN40 mm) up to 8″ (DN200 mm).
